Not impossible, but not easy either.
It needs another 5+ million to reach number #1. I can't see it happening this year, unless a miracle happen, and demand increase a lot. Then, there's the successor. Switch will turn 6 years old in April, so a new console should be approaching
But if for some reason, the successor is scheduled for 2025, then Switch will definitely be #1 next year.
