Be it from it's 1st/2nd/3rd party exclusive games display it had to all the other content we went this year, I could honestly prolly say this year equals 2017 in pure enjoyment from the games I played IMO.

Yeah in addition to these there was a ton of other awesome games too; 13 Sentinels, Prodeus, It Takes Two, Nier Automata, Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak... for me 2022 was honestly the best year of the Switch.

Yes, the third party offering was honestly amongst the best on a personal level too. Team Asano at Square pumping a great SRPG and also a remake of beloved gem of the SNES gave me some quite fantastic gaming moments. It just makes the wait for Octopath Traveler II and the remake of Dragon Quest III almost unbearable.

And I haven't even began to mention the best narrative I got to experience this year with AI The Somnium Files Nirvana which had probably the best type of narrative  Uchikoshi could craft for this game since the Zero Escape series. Once again proving the force of narrative construct in video games can be much more engaging and fun than the ones that only copycat the style of movies, which simply limit their narrative structures imo.
