In my opinion, I do feel like Nintendo has become a bit boring as of recent. I'm missing those times where I was super hyped for Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8, even stuff like BOTW, Mario Maker & Smash when they were about to release. Alot of the games releasing this year, while they're not bad but they just aren't really hype cause they're the type of games and experiences I've already seen before. I honestly feel like Splatoon 3 has little reason to exist with Splatoon 2 already on Switch and I already know what to expect so I'm not really hyped at all, I've never been a Pokemon fan to be hyped for Scarlet & Violet and even if I was, Pokemon games at this point release so frequently that its harder to get hyped for them especially since the more recent Pokemon games haven't brought anything new that's hype to the table. I guess Kirby may have been more hype but I'm not a big Kirby fan so it wasn't a big deal for me. And the games I was more hyped for this year being Mario Strikers & Switch Sports ended up being underwhelming experiences which is a shame. To be honest I'm really missing those major Nintendo games that we were seeing somewhat In the beginning of the Switch's life as well as the 2014/2015 timeframe of the Wii U where we were seeing brand new & original heavy hitters like MK8,Smash Bros, Splatoon 1 when it was first introduced, Mario Maker, 3D Mario, and BOTW, really the only game that's coming close to that level of hype in BOTW2 but I haven't really felt it yet by how little has been shown by the game. I want to get hyped for games that got me into Nintendo in the first place and I haven't been feeling that with Nintendo recently honestly as I feel like its been too long of a wait without a new 3D Mario or new Mario Kart & the Booster Course pass hasn't really helped fulfill that need tbh. So yea I'll say as of recent Nintendo has been a little bit boring.
