yes, it was. This gen was 7 years too. Despite this 7M (after successor's launch) on 80M total till that point is still not good. Not so bad as the PS4 legs were, but still, weak legs. 10-15M would be good legs, and 15M+ would've been great legs.

Yeah you're right it was 7 years it just didn't seem as long as the PS3/XB360 gen for some reason probably because time flies as you get older, anyway PS3 legs weren't as good as i thought but like you say not as bad as PS4 which only sold a little more than 3 million after PS5 launched.
