Game Pass is a win for the industry. Services like it make gaming more affordable than ever. But go ahead and buy 3 physical new releases a year for $60 a piece and act like you're getting such a better experience. You're probably not.

As a collector. I am as I prefer owning them. I also buy a shit ton more than 3 a year.

Which is absolutely fine. I dread an all-digital future (though I'm not as anti-digital as some), but it's inevitable. Could be 20 years from now, or 10. But Game Pass makes it far more affordable for players to enjoy games from the last gen, plus some from the current gen and older gens. I would much prefer services like Game Pass exist so people can play more games instead of being limited to purchasing them outright which usually means they can't play as many games due to high costs.

We now live in a time where most players can easily play about 20 or so games a year without spending a lot of money. And that is a very good thing to me. A lack of gaming subscription services means less affordable ways to play games.

I've never subscribed to Game Pass, but I understand the appeal. I do have a PS Now subscription.
