SpaceX basically controls the moon and seeks control over Mars in the future. SpaceX is not seen as a major threat and is allowed to expand, at least until recently...

SNY creates galactic partnership with SpaceX, Tesla, etc.
Announcement of PS Plus including Now and Moon Pass.
SpaceX new rockets named Arial, Ardon, Erebus, Oberon, etc.
PS6 code names leak being Falcon, Raptor, Merlin, Dragon, etc.
Starlink renamed to PS Link and will be exclusive to PS customers.
Hyperloop renamed to PS Loop and is timed exclusive during the daytime (tunnels included).
Tesla vehicles all come fully stock with newest PS hardware and PS Now cloud streaming capabilities.
PS Now is more like Netflix and Moon Pass includes primary moon residence and anytime international and interplanetary rocket travel as well.

MS quickly tweets they have no interest in the moon as they think taking over celestial bodies is anti consumer.
MS also quietly announces massive funding for Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic.
BO and VG then announce they are planning to build their own moon bases...
