The color is actually a continuation of the ending of Revolutions where after Neo dies, the Matrix is rebooted and the green tint fades away to look more "normal" showing that this movie really is a sequel to the original trilogy. Finally got around to watching this. Really great breakdown. Answered a lot of my questions about the trailer, gave me a better understanding  of what to expect, and actually increased my anticipation a bit. This could actually turn out well.
