Its lineup is truly legendary; Donkey Kong Country 1/2/3, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, A Link to the Past, Super Mario RPG, Demon's Crest, F-Zero, Super Mario Kart, Doom, Starfox...
It represents both the pinnacle of 2D gaming as well as some of the first exciting steps into the new world of 3D, Nintendo's first party firing on all cylinders as well as the last time they had full, unqualified third party support, and most of its best games still hold up beautifully today.
