Yeah I guess it is partly that I don't necessarily trust Nintendo to do it right. If I was an ardent base 3DS owner I'd be annoyed at some of their handling of the New 3DS for instance.
And I can understand that some folks do want better fidelity, and I don't begrudge them that as we all have our different standards and desires.
For what its worth, I doubt this will be last revision the Switch will see and it would not surprise me if a more powerful revision follows next year or something.
