Switch OLED model just got announced.

I think we need to come to an understanding that, while the Switch is a hybrid, Nintendo sees it first and foremost as a portable device--one that can attach to your TV. They do NOT see it as a home console that you can take on the go. This is proven by the fact that my launch Switch will perform exactly the same when docked as this OLED Switch when it launches in October. But as a portable device, the OLED Switch will be a significant upgrade to mine.

So if you mostly/entirely play docked, this upgrade isn't for you, but if you primarily play portable, or split time between the two modes, the OLED Switch is likely a pretty good option.
