Earth-shattering success for Nintendo in what was (or is one of) the Switch's peak year. 2021 will be the year Switch passes the Xbox 360 and PS3, possibly even the Wii.
Nintendo needs to make Super Mario Party 2. I can't believe that hasn't been announced yet, or that there was no DLC for Super Mario Party.
It's pretty likely Nintendo won't make Mario Kart 9 for Switch. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best-selling game on Switch, and Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit has already sold over 1 million units despite its high price tag.
I think Animal Crossing: New Horizons will end up being the best-selling title on Switch. It's only about 2 million shy of Mario Kart, and will also have evergreen sales like that game. Nintendo might even start seasonal bundles with Animal Crossing like they have with Mario Kart.
The high sales of Sword and Shield continue to prove the success of Pokemon. Gen IV remakes are all but guaranteed, and Gen IX on Switch is likely.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 156 million (was 73, then 96, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million)

PS5: 115 million (was 105 million) Xbox Series S/X: 48 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)
