Final Game Update

Finished: The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (GBA/3DS)

I got the game for being a 3DS Ambassador/ early adopter. This is the first 2D Zelda game that I am playing solo (Four Sword is the other 2D one I played). They packed a lot of detail into a GBA game. The game world is deep and charming with lots to explore. The shrinking gimmick with the Minish Cap makes for some fun moments and puzzles. Combat is simple and satisfying. The dungeons are complex and make good use of the various items Link collects along the way. The art direction and music are both strong. I like this version of Link. Some parts were a little difficult or required out of box thinking. It took me about 20 hours to beat, which is a satisfying length.  I have a lot more Zelda games in my future. I look forward to alternating between the 2D and 3D games. Good job Capcom.

25 games. Best year ever for my gaming habit. Having time to play so many great games was the one good thing about the pandemic this year. Next year I imagine I will play significantly less. Still there are some great titles I have on my list for the new year!
