And this situation will keep on going at least until March, most likely. It's such a sad perspective. Maybe it's a bit early to say, but it seems that Sony has given up on Japan.
The Switch did great, but truth be told, I was expecting more from it.
Software numbers are great, especially for the Konami game. That is not the kind of game that I want Konami seeing making success, but oh well, better than nothing if that means Konami will be more willing to invest on gaming. At least be willing to lend it's IPs for other developers to make.

Didn't they delay PS4 in Japan all together?
It seems this is more or less the same situation but this time they threw Japan a bone. I don't think we can really read too much into it apart from other markets (particularly where MS is competitive) equal priority and the system is extremely supply constrained.
