Just Finished: inFamous: Second Son (PS4)

Got this game through PS Plus. I played through with good karma. I played the first game back on the PS3 but had not gotten to any of the sequels until now. For a launch window era PS4 exclusive the graphics still impressed me. The particle effects are amazing. I enjoyed using the Neon superpowers the most because they were the best looking and most fun to use. All four of the powers you gain in this game are cool to wield. Delsin is a much more interesting character than Cole, and the supporting characters are more memorable too. It is a bit strange the series switched from fictional cities to a real one like Seattle, but at least it makes for a unique setting. The missions get a tad repetitive and the framerate drops when things get too crazy but those are my biggest gripes. I think the use of the Dualshock 4 unique controls was immersive, especially the spray-painting segments. I'm not sure if I will ever return to play the game for evil karma though. Second Son is every bit as good an open world superhero game as Insomniac's Spider-Man, just missing the iconic characters. I hope Sucker Punch revisits the series on PS5.
