For sure, PS4 is dead in the water now. 3rd parties have much more chance for spotlight by releasing on PS5/ Switch.

And when it comes to Japan though, that is assuming that PS5 doesn't continue the decline Playstation has been facing in Japan. Though it should get sequels to some of the big heavy hitters on the PS4 sooner, since it looks like FFXVI could release as early as late 2021 and if those documents from the Capcom aren't outdated, the follow up to Monster Hunter World is 2023. Both of those have a good chance of not hitting Switch, but for another big sequel to a PS4 game, DQXII. I think is that gonna be multiplat with Switch and PS5 with the former being the lead platform for the game and Nintendo definitely more likely to help market then Sony.

And the moment DQ goes switch exclusive, as unlikly as that is, its over in japan
