Ya happens often enough in R6S. I find it tends to happen more so on certain days for some reason. Not any specific day either. One day I'll play for hours and never have an issue, or my team kills buddy for killing me even though they immediately apologized, yet everyone's cool with it that round. Other days I'll go match after match in a row getting team killed or instantly team booted.
For me it really sucks because I'm not great overall but am pretty good sometimes and pretty bad others. I've been playing since the game came out, so my rank is really high and it tends to put me with inexperienced players. The amount of times I've heard complaining about how bad I can be with a rank that high has gotten slightly irritating. I prefer to play casual and not ranked though because I don't take the game too seriously very often.
It wasn't as bad in the first couple years, but once the game caught on, especially during those F2P weekends, a lot of extreme casuals jumped in and it got way more toxic in casual play. It's also the type of game you have to play a lot to get good and keep playing because changes are made quite often, which is hard to get used to when you don't stay on top of it.
I really wish there was something like an "unrealistic mode" where the only change was that you couldn't team kill.
