I voted no, because Switch is a rival and will sell more.

That said, I think PS5 will do well. As the launch of the PS4 proved, the some fans of the PS-brand will buy the console purely on brand power, even if it is missing games and mostly has remasters. But the brand-expectation is, that the PS-platform will eventually deliver and they eventually did. So I see no reason why this gen the fans should have another assumption.

How is switch a rival to either the PS5/Xbox? Because they both play games? That's like saying Ferrari is making a car and is considering a honda civic to be a rival because they are both cars.

Another way to look at this; take this year, or last year or maybe next year. Make a list of all the games releasing on the PS4/XB1/Switch or the PS5/XSX/Switch. You will find that the PS4/5 vs XSX/XB1 shares over 90% of their library. And that the PS4/5/XB1/XSX vs switch, share less than 10% of their libraries. What that means, is that if you get either a PS or Xbox, you don't necessarily need to get the other (they are rivals) but getting one of them doesn't mean you don't need to get the Switch and vice versa (they aren't).

Bla blu ble blo. Always the same shit. I get too old for that: "No, no, that shitty kiddy Nintendo console is not in the same league as the great adult console I choose!!!!111!!!"

It is obvious Sony and Nintendo are vying for the dollars of similar customers. They are rivals. Now, we could argue that they target different parts of the market, and true enough. But that was and is always the case. It is at this point obvious, that MS has a more and more differing strategy, focusing on Gamepass and their coming streaming-service. Does that mean they aren't rivals either? Probably the best, if it is the case, then congratulations, PS5 will obviously the unchallenged winner, as they actually are completely alone in the market.

A much more intelligent and interesting approach would be, that the launch sales of the PS5 and XBSX have to be compared to the Switch launch sales, not the current ones. That I would agree with, and it is interesting to see who will have the upper hand in that contest. PS5 will be strong, because as I said before, many strong PS-fans buy the console on brand power alone. Also Switch released in March, not in the holidays.
