Sony is very dominant in Europe. The PS4 is still outselling the Switch there most weeks, which is crazy considering the PS5 is coming out this holiday season. The PS1 and PS Vita were the only PlayStation platforms to not perform better in Europe than any other region. But with the Vita in particular, it was really close.
I don't think Microsoft or Nintendo can steal Europe from Sony at this point. North America is a battleground for all of the big three, and Japan is a battleground for Sony and Nintendo (but really only when Nintendo screws up like with the Wii U).
