Meanwhile every game shown here basically blew my mind (the graphics), with how much better it looked than anything on PS4. |
Well, I have played games since the 90s, and at some point graphics loses it's luster.
I am more interested in gameplay.
For instance: I want to be excited for Project Athia. I started off as being hyped. But as the trailer was going on my interest decreased. Because it wasn't much gameplay shown, and what was to be seen was not exciting. If I compare that with Kena - that game had by far not so exciting graphics, but what they hinted at gameplay was very interesting and setting and world felt good. So I am more excited for Kena than Project Athia, despite all the graphics.
And something else. The positive news: this event showed a lot of games, many of which look interesting. The bad news: many of the bigger games had no date. If all of that releases next year, PS5 will sell stellar, but sadly this isn't a given.
