Even though I still believe in Nintendo's ability to compete against MS/Sony if they again decided to release a power focused console (their last was the gamecube). I think them co-existing in this form is far healthier for the industry and brings more diversity.

Nice try. If switch is the common deniminator, it is a primary console. This comparison will be even clearer during the 10th gen, since the switch 2 is likely to release only 2 years after the ps5 and xsx instead of 3.

Its the common denominator because the statistics are looking at Switch ownership. There is nothing to be defensive over, this doesn't discredit the sales of the switch of the quality of Nintendo's titles. All it means is Ninetndo doesn't need big third party support. 

71% percentage of Switch owners have another console. Almost half of Switch owners have a PS4. Some will for sure play their switch more than any other console, but we can also see that Switch sales are more concentrated in a handful of titles each year whereas PS4's are more spread and it has a much higher attach ratio.
