A major issue is that we no longer get linked to by games journalists, because we no longer have much of the unique sales data that journalists used to refer to.
I came here the first time through a link from a Forbes.com writer that referred to this site often. But, it's been years since he mentioned this site at all. The same is true all over the place. With the current state of sales data here, which was what made this place unique, there aren't many opportunities for our content to be picked up by other outlets. So, we get few newcomers to replace the people that leave, and the site slowly declines.
