Unpopular opinion, but I must say after trying out VIVE controllers, I realized how much Wii Remote Plus was just plain terrible.
I still play Wii from time to time, lot of motion contolled games, but it feels so laggy and unprecise.
Despite that, Grand Slam is one of my favourites on Wii.

That would be a logical conclusion, actually. The tech in those controllers is nearly a decade more advanced, and also multiple times more expensive. It's not just the vibe, but virtually every motion controller - Motion+ was definitely not perfect. It's probably part of the reason why I enjoyed the IR and accelerometer controls a lot more, they were fairly snappy and did what they were supposed to.

MotionPlus was a longevity add on.  Only about 50 games actually supported it, and of those 50, only 5 required it: Red Steel 2 was the only third party games built to require it. While Skyward Sword, Sports Resort, Wii Play Motion, and Fling Smash (I don't even remember that one) were the only first/second party games that required it.

What happened with motion controls is that the Wii was the first wave. Nintendo needed a second wave WAY before the technology was ready. If the adequate technology arrived before 2008, we might have seen a Wii HD in 2010-2012 instead of the Wii U.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
