Ford's tone of voice and mannerisms didn't change at all after giving her statement about what exactly happened, in which she pouted a bit, which is to be expected. Nobody acts like that, for that long, based on their claim and feelings, unless they've been coached to do so. The fact that she's where she was, and in the position she was, she was way, way to perfect in terms of her politically correct presentation. She constantly was looking to her council for direction. She didn't follow the typical procedure for an assault charge and admitted it was because her council told her this lawyer and hearing thing was the proper option. She points out how smart she is in terms of why she knows how memory works and why she can and can't remember things, yet she can't figure out the proper procedure for coming forward with an assault claim? She lied about the fact that she can't or is scared to fly because she said she recently flew for a funeral and fly's all the time for her hobbies. She admitted this situation was supposed to be kept private and didn't approve it being leaked. The only person who could have leaked it, was who the letter was sent to, Democrat Feinstein, who said she didn't leak it, and said her people didn't leak it, and when asked if she had ever asked her staff if they did, her answer was, "I just did", but was then immediately reminded that she did ask one other person earlier.
Kav points out Fords witnesses signed off that they don't believe he did it. If it's ever found they were lying, they face prison. Kav was also asked, to personally ask for an FBI investigation on the spot, since he worked in the white house and with the FBI in the past. He then uses that to point out this gave him the knowledge to know that the process the FBI would take wouldn't be much different than what was already taking place, and that at best it would lead to the senate making the decision anyway. He was then hounded to ask for that FBI investigation over and over which was useless because he wasn't going to, because it would be useless as he already explained. Kav made it clear earlier and after, if the committee wanted an FBI investigation that he would happily accept it, and yet that senator was doing everything he could to try and put the burden on Kav, and it's not his to bear.
Lastly, Kav's testimony reminded me a lot of my father. He's also a fairly centered Conservative. I only ever saw my old man get what I would call angry a handful of times in my life, and every time it was similar to how Kav presented himself. After being so calm, cool, and collected, for so long, if you finally somehow managed to cross the line, everything would come out all at once. Anger, passion, sadness, disgust, you name it, it was all there, and it was a sight to see. A really scary one, because you knew he meant business and there was no weaseling your way out. You were going to learn, even if it had to be the hard way. Kav however kept his composure and held back the anger extremely well considering he had to, based on his situation, but that folks is just what happens when someone, somehow, pushes a righties personal and moral boundaries way too far. Kav didn't cross the line, the political circus did. It didn't prove Kav is a loose cannon, it's proof he's dedicated, has strong morals, and is going to make some great decisions going forward.
