Clearly there is a good amount of people that liked Snyder's vision. The support for a Snyder cut of JL is proof of that. 

A Snyder cut of that travesty wouldn't really be much better than what made it to screen, I think the hopes that it would be better is more a grass is greener type thing, as in, it couldn't possibly be worse than what made it to the Cinema could it? like... just by complete law of averages it would have to be better.

Regarding the current state of the DCU there is a really good video on youtube I seen regarding it, it's just on Justice League but really while it's a long video he goes into each area that it fails at.
