it's a very good game, but it's a port of a game that's been out for 18 months and isn't exactly the biggest franchise. if this had made either conference you would have to worry about how strong they were

So why announce it during E3 then?
That way the news will get lost between all the other announcements that will happen on stage.

Besides, I couldn't agree less. This would be perfect for any conference. Just 30 seconds would be enough. Nier Automata coming to X1, Xbox One X enhanced (not confirmed but I guess it is or will be), releasing in two weeks. Fits in every gap.
