So yes, I find it EXTREMELY disrespectful everytime someone close to Lucas Film uses those terms implying that a big portion of the fanbase is like that.

He didn't paint a big portion of the fanbase like it at all, he said he fell down a weird rabbit hole of shitty Star Wars fans. And he's not wrong. I see a lot of weird and shitty Star Wars "fans" online.
