Boy do I have some bad news for you.
Plus I can guarantee that you could walk up to just about any American under 40, and if you asked them who Goku was, then they would know who you're talking about.

I asked fourteen different American tourists ranging in age from 20 to 35 who the Latin hero Goku was, and none of them knew what I was talking about. I clarified that it was Japanese speaking Latins, and they were even more confused.

One also pulled a gun on me and threatened to shoot me in the face. But that was from an unrelated pickpocketing incident.
