And here's the root of your stance.
I dislike Bayonetta. I think she's a boring character who derives her value from the fanservice of becoming nearly naked when she attacks (similar to how Dante derives his value from quips and bad one-liners). Should I start going in the face of all the Bayonetta fans who want her in Smash with a half-assed excuse concerning origin? Or should I be happy that other people enjoy her enough to drive sales of the game?
