Best Case scenario: 5 o'clock in London will also be 5 o'clock trough the rest of Europe/(EU)

They are not abolishing Time Zones, that will remain the same. 

UK and Portugal use GMT (currently GMT +1 on summer)

Central Europe and Spain use GMT +1 (currently GMT +2 on summer)

Eastern Europe uses GMT +2 (currently GMT +3 on summer)

 

The difference being that the time will remain the same throughout the whole year, there won't be adjustments in March and October. Which is a very nice decision if you ask me!

Yeah that would be pretty good. I used to do my vacation around Easter. I went from Germany to Portugal, then Spain, then Morocco and back again. Always crossing a time zone and additionally adjusting the clock to summer time in between.
