It's weird to see the 3ds pretty much identical to the Switch in terms of sales at this point, when we look back and don't think of it as being a very impressive selling machine.

Well, the software sales of the 3DS after these 308 days were only at 37.5 million units (tie ratio = 2.5 games) while the software sales of the Switch are much better (52.6 million units; tie ratio = 3.5 games). The 3DS also had a huge price cut for half of the time frame.
