Well I believe most people were expecting it to taper off immediately after launch. So it is interesting to see that there is still healthy demand for it.  Most Christmas shoppers would aim for the cheaper One S for the kids etc.So perhaps with a good deal of word of mouth the One X has garnered a bit of a following.

A few people expected it to be DOA with no other reason than they hate Xbox. It's best to ignore these people. Some people expect it to be DOA because of price but I think the general view was that it would have a good holiday in the US. I think Xbox is in for a tough 2018 after the holiday.
