Also, would you say that Disgaea 5 is substantially better/different than the previous games.  I played Disgaea 2, and i liked it, but there are several other tactical RPGs that I like more.  I haven't played another Disgaea since, but I would be willing to check it out again if it is significantly improved or changed.

And Disgaea 5 is the first Disgaea I played, so I cannot compare. This year was my introduction to the series. Anyways, the video I put into the post describes it right: what is great isn't the tactical RPG stuff (I think this is not very good), but just that you can do practically everything you want in the game. And the crazier the more of it. That's what makes Disgaea special. I don't know if Disgaea 2 did that already, but if it did I don't think you would see more in 5.
