Last year there were 196 days (6 months and 12 days, from May 26th to December 7th) between the 40mil and 50mil announcements from Sony, assuming it takes the same amount of time to go from 60.4mil (they announced 60.4mil, not 60mil) to 70mil we should get the announcement on December 26th. Subtract a few days because there was a 400k headstart and the insane Black Friday and I'd give it a week or 2.

I predict 20 million PS4 in 2017, considering the good YOY trend it had for so long. Since it was at 53.4 million by end of 2016, i think by the end of 2017 it will be 73.4 million. Last year Sony annunced 50 million in December 7, so it sold 3.4 million since that.

I think we may expect the same situation this year. So i think will happen this week.
