The slim PS4 may be out of stock, but it appears to have plenty of stock in Best Buy. According to Benji (who's like Abdiel), the PS4 is doing extremely well.

speaking of Abdiel, here's what he had to say in the same thread

I can't speak for Amazon, Gamestop, etc., but for Best Buy, we certainly have plenty more stock held for tonight/hopefully the weekend, and Sony last year restocked us over the weekend for Cyber Monday for the PS4 for the actual Black Friday sales. We're *required* to hold inventory for those specific SKUs, and usually we can avoid the issues of overselling the stock by allocating the units that will be used for that listing under a different internal stock number, or bundle ID, something along those lines, if it is to be used for a specific sale purpose and not to be sold before then. Helps prevent palettes from being broken open by mistake.

And guys, I mean, 'missed opportunity' is still a weird thing to say... there has been so many PS4s sold in this last week, it's been kind of ridiculous. Sony opening up this deal for the entire week was kind of brilliant, from the perspective that people that wanted the cheap console but don't think getting *just* the little extras of the doorbuster stuff that you get for waiting in line and going out on actual Thanksgiving comes with, they gave themselves a MASSIVE convenience edge, and doing advertising to drive customers to the stores with our 'pre-Black Friday' stuff we always try to do. We had a ton of inventory available for this last week available.

MS didn't have the same kind of demand for the One S going in this week, though I'm sure there will be plenty sold over this next 48 hour period.

The XBOX has done very well for itself, I'm still trying to confirm exactly what kind of numbers we had for it, since it's so hellish right now, though it is in a similar place to the Pro was, where that has nothing to do with the time of year, and everything to do with what the product is and why people want it.

Switch sales remain as brisk as ever. Consistently providing a flow of inventory that will move is a great help for us to be able to sell it, though with the nature of the actual deals that are being given elsewhere, that may be the difference in who is the highest for the month.

I mean, honestly, this month is ridiculous. I bet Mat is going to be smiling quite a bit as he looks over the numbers. Good attachment rate on stuff to consoles, with games and accessories, so even with all the crazy sales, there's lots moving.
