No, there isn't any journalistic weight behind the story as of yet. The first website that posted (Medium), did so without attempting to protect the identity of anyone in it (including other proported victims) or any attempt to validate the timeline and connections.
These portions ring alarm bells for me when you connect:
"I didn’t have the language to call this rape. Rape was something to fear from strangers while walking alone down the street. Rape was not committed by a friend."
"I told Gal something had happened between Yaniv and I."
"She was furious for Ayala and “what I had done to her”. Gal pointed her finger in my face like a weapon. She asked me how I could do this, and that I needed to make this up to Ayala."
"Yaniv asked if I had ever drank wine, knowing I had not. He bought me several drinks with dinner while telling me that I needed to try different varieties. It’s hard for me to remember what happened after that. I assume he drugged me."
"To this day, I have never been inebriated in that particular way, especially after only drinking wine. I was in and out of consciousness, and my body felt limp. I kept falling over."
My first thought is whether she even told Gaddot she was raped. "something happened between me and X" doesn't equate to rape. I was drunk and can't remember last night doesn't communicate being raped. It feels very much like she concluded in retrospect that she was drugged based on her later experience of alcohol, so I doubt being drugged (if she was- her description is no different from my first time drinking) is something which she would have told Gaddot at the time- This is all just context to Gaddots response, which reads as a friend furious that another girl slept with her close friends BF.
Ultimately I wouldn't be surprised if Gal would have responded in that way and I don't think its its the end of the world. She was 19yo working is extremely tough, sexist industry (in an extremely sexist country) way before modern wave of feminism enabled by social media (we're talking 2003) challenged the way many young people though about gender relations. Thats not to excuse her behaviour but she was 19 then and 32 now, so not the best example of hypocrisy. Its kind of offensive to compare this to what is actually going in Hollywood.
