Looks like it is going to be incredibly close. I think a Sony victory would require a permanent price cut on at least the Slim model, and perhaps the Pro too. I think one is coming if they are raising projections to 19M
I think the final quarter will be a Sony win if God of War is ready before the end of March, backed up by Monster Hunter World. There isn't any software on Nintendo systems in that period that is going to move hardware in any real way unless I'm forgetting something. Switch sales will be strong regardless, but 3DS sales won't be. Sales in this holiday season will probably decide things, with Mario and Pokemon and the Switch's first holiday against Sony's ability to prive more agressively, GT Sport and big third party tie-ins.
Looking to me like it will be so close as to entirely come down to whether or not the PS4 Slim gets a permanent price cut. If that conosle goes to $199 from late Novemebr onwards, I think Sony will come out on top. If not, Nintendo will win by 500k or so
