Blade Runner 2049 has disappointing opening weekend of $32-35 million

WB should never have given it a $150m budget though. As people have mentioned, Blade Runner is a cult classic.

2049 isnt a mindless action film like Deadpool, so it was never going to pull in an opening greater than $50m. Even It transcends different demographics. 2049 isnt going to appeal to too many outside of 25+ year old males.

It will do great on bluray.

It should be noted that you are actually a millennial, despite talking about them like they are some other generation.
