Video games are entertainment. Entertainment = feels. Enjoyment, adrenaline, surprise, challenge, all the experiences games are designed to give us are, at the end of the day, feelings. Separately "feels" from gaming is like separating hearing from music.

Or seperating "feels" from music for that matter.

Good point. I mean, you can break down both music and video games to just their "logical" components and view them as mathematical patterns of notes and floating points, but to do so kinda misses the point, kind of like dismantling a clock to find the tick.

If you don't like exposition then i can see why you wouldn't enjoy Bethesda games. There is alot of dialogue interaction.

I like alot of story in my RPG's.

With that said, and while the story of the AC games are usually alot thinner than trailers make you think, the problem is that the activities you do and more importantly traversing their sandboxes is a chore. The climb up a building recipe worked well for the first game, where buildings weren't too tall and the skyline was very even. Ever since 2, just getting around has been awful. AC syndicate had a grappling cable, but even with it, t was still a pain.

Ac is simply not a very good game and i wish reviewers were honest about it. But... AAA publisher and pretty graphics.

I don't mind exposition, I didn't like the "stalk and eavesdrop" bits as like a lot about the series, it felt like a chore. And yeah, agreed, with the exception of AC4, (which wasn't great but at least had a welcome dose of light-heartedness and some kinda cool naval combat) I've found the AC games I've played uniformly dull and joyless.
