This won't happen. VR, like 3D, is just niche and cannot be mainstream. Nintendo made 3D as easy to consume and develop for as it gets and guess what, nearly everyone just turns that shit off. VR won't be any different.

Nintendo is working on VR, Kimishima has confirmed it and I believe the Nintendo World theme park with also incorporate VR.

VR is not like 3D, it is a much more tangiable experience, I would say it's more like online ... in the early days when the Dreamcast had online a lot of people were saying online would not take off and wasn't a big deal.

Or even early on, I remember people saying polygonal graphics were overrated and wasn't going to become the future of gaming (this is around when Star Fox came out).

Well it just took some time for the technology to become more widespread. The same will happen with VR IMO. In 10 years you'll have VR light years beyond the current stuff that's much lighter/easier to use and cheap.

Spot on.

People are reluctant to change, but as time passes, and things get better people always migrate to the best expereince. By the 2030's AR/VR will be part of our everyday lives, in work, at home, and in every aspect of entertainment.

The car industry is going through the same thing with Electric cars. People around me are livid over the thought of people driving electric vehicals, but I guarantee a huge percentage of them will either have or be planning to buy an electric vehical by 2030.

Finally, a very recent event. Smartphones. People hated the idea of a phone doing more than making a phone call 10 years ago. Now all of those people that said they would never use any of that crap, have a smartphone, and they use it constantly.

That is why I have no doubt VR will eventually take off. I have no doubt that eventually consoles will replace PC in the casual computing/gaming  space, and that gaming phones will eventually find their place in the market. The best experience always wins out in the end, even if it sometimes takes a couple of trys/decades before the masses finally see what they have been missing.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
