That's pretty much what I'm leaning towards doing right now. I think it's the best compromise. |
I would think so too. Not messing with the this/last generational hardware charts keeps those people happy, and adding a chart to show current hardware so nothing is left out should make the rest happy.
The only way I could potentially see anyone being upset by adding a separate "Current Platforms" chart right now, could be super hardcore XB fans. Its already well behind PS4, and if Switch continues to sell like it has, it will make XB1 look even worse in comparison. However, Nin fans will be really happy. Unfortunately that's just reality at the moment. Hopefully if there were anyone who was upset about seeing their console of choice in a bad light, they should just simply realize the chart is a really useful indicator that improvements can be made in the future to grow that ecosystem.
PS1 - ! - We must build a console that can alert our enemies.
PS2 - @- We must build a console that offers online living room gaming.
PS3 - #- We must build a console that’s powerful, social, costs and does everything.
PS4 - $- We must build a console that’s affordable, charges for services, and pumps out exclusives.
PRO -%-We must build a console that's VR ready, checkerboard upscales, and sells but a fraction of the money printer.
PS5 - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.
PRO -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.
