I honestly think that there are no comedians in cinema today like the greats of the '80s and '90s. That isn't a slight on the actors/actresses in this movie (though I despise McCarthy), I think it's just the landscape we are in right now doesn't have many of those dominant comedic personalities. As such, I don't think a movie like Ghostbusters can exist without losing out on the spirit of the original.
