I hope they do this. I have another theory alongside yours:
Within the virtual console, they'll release digital bundles with the same collection of games as the classic edit systems and with a better price ofc.
Also, It would be nice if the classic systems already have something for the NFC reader that can unlock the game's collection for the VC, so u don't have to buy the games again.
