no need to worry about Switch if you look at what we already know about it's lineup and what is actually being released on 3DS.
Switch is already infinitely more popular than the Wii U ever was, Nintendo have been much better at keeping the momentum going and getting the big games out early. And we already know that the biggest names like Pokemon and Metroid are going to be on the system, and not just spin offs, proper mainline games.
If you look at what Nintendo announced recently as support for the 3DS, it's a Metroid remake, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon, which isn't exactly going to be taxing for the devs, and another Mario and Luigi RPG, which would be nice to get on Switch (and the next one will be I'm sure), but it's not a massive miss for the system.
3DS support from Nintendo will be the odd middle-tier franchise and remakes/ports, and won't affect the Switch much at all. All the best shit will be in the new console
