Ohh no, they're not being stupid. They're trying to make as much money as possible. When you look at from a perspective of "trying to extract as much money from their fans as possible" a lot of their decisions that make people scratch their heads become very easy to understand.

Why is their online service rumoured to be much cheaper than the competition's then?
