If you look at the mobile gaming market vs handheld market it seems that buttons aren't as big of a deal anymore. The Switch will scoop up the niche of people who care about buttons but will not be able to compete with mobile for people who go more for convenience than physical input. It's also questionable if mobile gamers actually want AAA experiences on the go or if they maybe stick to games that are enjoyable in short bursts.

What I'm getting at is that Nintendo does not directly compete with the mobile market, for that it does not have the convenience factor. The Switch has its own demographic and will most likely not convince many mobile gamers to switch.

I don't think I said Nintendo is going to capture the ios crowd... did I? Different demographics.
