And when you think RPG.. you think xbox one?

It may be on all three for all we know. If I had to only choose two though? I'd choose switch over xbox one.

When I think about RPG I think PS4. The key words their is major home consoles. It's laughable that suddenly Xbone is irrelevant now and Switch has more relevance around the world. Xbone still has the advantage of userbase than switch. It could still be release to Switch yes and I never said that it won't come. I just said that PS4/Switch is unlikely more than PS4/XB1. Switch is doing great yes but the Userbase is still nowhere near XB1 WW. Switch also has yet to prove it can sell 3rd party games.

And we are talking about Namco here and the  Hard acton RPG. This could mean they are targetting the Dark Soul fans with this game.

I don't discount the XB1, but you have to face some realities here. The game may be directed at a western audience TOO, but it is certainly, that it will sell most in the japanese market. This is the first market. And without a doubt XBox is nearly irrelevant there. Also the japanese market is strongly into mobile gaming, that's why I though at the first thread announcing the game PS4/Vita. As the wording is home consoles, this excludes the Vita, but leaves the Switch, which certainly can emulate the Vita experience (and more). That makes Switch more probable, as in Japan alone this game could sell well enough on Switch.

So, let's ignore Japan and look to western markets. Even in western markets the Xbox is weak in this japanese gaming experiences. Games like Persona and Nier are missing Xbox completely. Games that hit the Xbox are selling weak compared to PS. See Final Fantasy XV: on PS4 it sells 1.36M in NA and 1.6M in europe, while on XB1 only 0.53M in NA and 0.23 in europe. The western gamers liking such japanese RPGs are certainly more likely on PS4 than on XB1.

So, now look at Namcos view: the game will sell most in Japan. It will sell reasonybly well on PS4 in Japan AND in the West. It will practically sell nothing in Japan on XB1 and in the West (which probably will make up the weaker region for sales (Nier sold more than half of it's worldwide sales in Japan) it will be strongly behind PS4 (based on FF less than half in NA and less than a fifth in europe). It probably sells decently on Switch in Japan and an unknown amount in the West. It is likely that with japanese sales the Switch can match the XB1-sales in the west.

So XB1 really isn't more likely than Switch from a sales perspective (while PS4 is a no-brainer). There might be other reasons (always are), which might bend the decision in either direction. For me PS4/Switch, PS4/XB1, PS4/Switch/XB1 are all similar likely, I cannot say which side Namco tends.
