There would be no hardware competition. No services competition. No controller competition. They would lose the "royalty fee" AND have to pay a chunk of that to steam. Oh and marketing. Marketing would take a HUGE hit.

No hardware competition? Really? The PC-market has a lot of hardware-competition, especially since you can combine each part with each other, you have not to stick to a bundle someone else created for you and contains a lot of compromises.

No servcices competition? Sorry, really? Every console can only have services the platform holder approves of. On PC you get every service.

No controller competition? You can use a lot of controllers.
