I'm having software related issues.

Would be nice if I could opt-out of certain eShop news updates... don't understand Japanese and it messes up the news feed.

Is there a way to change the joycons orientation from grip/vertical to horizontal without going all the way into the controller menu? Tried pressing SR+SL and that didn't sync them. Is there a faster way to change the grip menu? It should be in the quick menu!

What do you mean? First time I took one off, I didn't press the release button and it came off (with extra some force). You could be right in that respect. Afterwards I taken them off while pressing the release button, just as hard to take them off.

In the end I'm not seeing an advantage of the straps, just maybe for Arms. Snipper clips the joycons themselves work perfectly.

Yeah, you have to make sure that that white lock is unlocked.

Hmm, must have been sleepy when I replied that since I thought you meant the release button on the joycons.
