Did you also lift the white latch at the botom of the strap?

It has an arrow pointing to the direction that locks. I had the latch the opposite way when trying to slide the wrist strap part off.

Tried them yesterday... and so far they are quite hard to take off, more so than the grip or console itself. Curious they made it so latchy.
