Didn't realise the Wii U did that bad, 40k launch when releasing in the holidays is truly pathetic. Getting double that in March is an improvement for sure, and at least suggests that the Switch could comfortably outperform it's predecessor in the UK.
Of course, the problem with Switch is that it is currently a Zelda console, and far less people will be willing to risk buying it when they don't know how well it will be supported in the future. Next couple of weeks maybe interesting,as those who couldn't find a system first week buy in, but Mario Kart Deluxe launch week is the big test. The console needs a good boost that week, because then it's a wait until Splatoon 2, which will barely move the needle anyway in the UK. I see some very low sales going forward until the holidays. Mario Odyssey will sell systems, but I really hope Nintendo have something else big for the holidays tucked away.
